I’m back with another skincare post, this time featuring Burt’s Bees!
Today I thought I’d share some Burt’s Bees products that I’ve been trialing lately.
100% Natural Lip Shines*. Fun fact: I was obsessed with glossy lips growing up. Back when I was a teen there was this brand called Caboodles that made makeup for preteen/teen girls. They had this lipgloss that was so shiny your friend could see her reflection in it and I tell you what, every single girl in my class had one. So I have always been a bit partial to a bit of a glossy lip. Burt’s Bees have released a new range called Natural Lip Shines that perfectly satisfy my inner teen. Packed with tons of moisturising properties means lips are kept super soft, along with adding a high shine. These come in 6 flavours. They come in an assortment of colours and taste pretty good too!
Body Lotion with Cocoa and Cupuaco Butters*. I do love my fancy body butters (including my Laura Mercier ones I am obsessed with) however sometimes I just want a simple one to soothe the skin and keep it from feeling itchy. The Body Lotion by Burt’s Bees is a really nice one and helps to keep skin super nourished without all the bells and whistles. It has a light nutty fragrance which is lovely on the skin and isn’t too overwhelming.
Detoxifying Clay Mask*. The clay mask aims to lift away impurities with antioxidants, and leave skin feeling clean and balanced. It contains charcoal which helps to draw impurities from the skin. Being someone who does suffer from problem skin time to time (although nowhere near as bad as it used to be thank goodness) I have really enjoyed using this mask. It leaves my skin feeling smooth and matte and I find my skincare absorbs better afterwards. This is a great mask if you feel like you need a bit of a skin detox.
Exfoliating Clay Mask*. This clay mask aims to refine pores and smooth the texture of the skin. It contains very fine granules that exfoliates the skin and lifts away dead skin cells. I am a huge fan of exfoliating masks and try to use one 1-2 times a week. This is a really lovely mask and I reach for it quite often. It also smells really good!
Eye Cream with Royal Jelly*. Being in my thirties I do use eye creams frequently so I was super interested to see how this one would work. It contains Royal Jelly which is hailed as a superfood and helps to nourish skin and leave it vibrant. This eye cream also aims to reduce puffiness and transform dull skin naturally. I quite like this eye cream and the way it moisturises my skin around the eye area. I don’t really get puffiness so I can’t comment on that, however I do love how hydrating it is.
Beeswax Lip Balms*. I am one of those people who are constantly reapplying lip balm. I cannot stand dry lips so I always make a habit of carrying a lip balm around with me everywhere. The Burt’s Bees lip balms are moisturising and taste great. More importantly, they do not dry the lips out (so many other lip balms do this and I don’t know why)? My favourite flavour at the moment is Vanilla Bean as it smells so comforting.
Overall I really like the Burt’s Bees range and will continue to use them in my everyday routine. The standout products are definitely the beeswax lip balms and lip shines for me, as well as the super nourishing body lotion!
