Working From Home Essentials

So I am week 2 into working from home and so far it has been ok.

The downfalls?

Next to no human contact, feeling restricted to your home and the lack of movement.

The perks?

There is no travel time necessary (literally a walk from your bedroom to ‘the office’), no need to change out of your pjs and let’s not forget the countless cups of tea we can consume.

It’s definitely a scary time to be living in however I am trying to focus on the positives.

So I thought I’d share some of my working from home essentials. To be honest, I use these at work anyway so they aren’t just limited to WFH.

Hand cream. I’ve always been an excessive hand washer (even before the outbreak) so I am forever moisturising my hands. Currently I’m using the Jurlique Rose Hand Cream and it is so lovely. It has a subtle rose scent that smells very authentic and hydrates my hands without feeling greasy.

Deodorant. Do you still apply deodorant if working from home? I do, however it might be habit more than anything else. I only use natural based deodorants now and this one by Corrynne’s Natural Skincare is amazing. It protects me against odour and smells sooo good; I get so many compliments whilst wearing it as people think it’s perfume LOL. I also use my trusty patchouli and ylang ylang deodorant from The Natural Deodorant (waiting on my next order to arrive!).

Face Oil. It sure feels weird not wearing makeup every day. I am one of those people who love to apply it each morning to feel ‘ready’ for the day. Now, I am simply moisturising and that’s it! The Multi-Activ Oil from Skinstitu is my current go-to and it is amazing at deeply hydrating my skin and making it smooth and soft.

Essential Oil. Lately I have really gotten into essential oils and now I can’t go a day without diffusing or applying it topically. My absolute fave is lavender as it has so many purposes and can be diffused, applied to the skin and even used in cooking. I keep a rollerball of lavender and apply it to my neck and wrists during the day to relax myself.

Lip Balm. An absolute must wherever you are. I am using the Vitamin E and Peppermint one by Burt’s Bees and love how soft it leaves my lips.

What are some of your working from home essentials?

Thanks for reading and stay safe!

I enjoy reading about other people’s working from home beauty essentials 🙂
I wash my hands quite a lot (even before the outbreak) so my hands are often dry too. That Jurlique rose handcream sounds very lush and I love a subtle natural rose fragrance, so I might have to try this hehe xox
