Sunday at Three Blue Ducks

On Sunday morning, Matthew and I woke up and decided to book a table at Three Blue Ducks.

Three Blue Ducks is a restaurant next to Urban Surf, an indoor surf park! It originated from byron bay and they decided to bring the restaurant to Melbourne, along with a surf park as we don’t have too many beaches in Melbourne (especially in industrial areas) 😊

It’s a great place to order food and drinks, sit and watch the surfers! Sunday ended up being a really sunny day so it was the perfect time to sit outside with our meal and watch everyone surfing.

I ordered a porridge dish with fresh fruit along with a chai tea and Matthew ordered eggs on toast with bacon and a fruit smoothie.

The food is very good here, very fresh and tasty. I walked past their garden on the way out and they grow their own herbs like rosemary, dill and oregano which is great.

Matthew’s smoothie. He was expecting it to be heavy but it was surprisingly light, more like a fruit drink.

We sat for a while outside just enjoying our meals. It was super relaxing so we ended up ordering more drinks after we’d finished eating (earl grey tea for me, cappuccino for Matthew) and just watched the people surfing. It was a really nice vibe being out around people and because the surf park is so big you sort of feel you are a million miles away from the rest of the world; it felt a bit like a holiday! It is getting me excited for our next trip.

Afterwards we ended up going to Westfield’s for some groceries and had a bit of a walk around. I wanted to pick up thebalm highlighter however Priceline was closed (bummer). I also went to the bookstore but nothing really caught my eye; I’ve been in a bit of a book slump lately.

How was your Sunday? Did you get up to much? Have you been to Three Blue Ducks?
